Age Groups

Age Groups & Entry Requirements

Five age groups from U8 to U16. All age groups are open to mixed-gender teams, fostering an inclusive, respectful and equal football culture from an early age.

  • U8 / U10: 7v7, 60×40 yds pitch, size 4 ball, 10-min halves
  • U12: 7v7 / 9v9, 60-80×40-50 yds, size 5 ball, 12-min halves
  • U14: 9v9 / 11v11, 80-90×50-55 yds, size 5 ball, 20-min halves
  • U16: 11v11, 90×55 yds, size 5 ball, 20-min halves

Format

Tournament Formats

LALIGA works closely with local organizers to design the format that best fits each market's development needs.

Weekend Championship

A single 2-4 day event: all teams play a group stage first, then advance to knockout rounds to crown the champion.

Regional Qualifiers

A multi-stage format: teams compete in regional group stages, with qualifiers advancing to the Grand Finals featuring fresh group and knockout phases.

Grand Finals

Qualified teams gather on the finals stage to compete for the regional championship in a higher-spec competition environment.

1. LALIGA

Provides the official LALIGA brand and intellectual property, supports tournament positioning and promotion, and offers strategic guidance and a long-term development vision. LALIGA does not manage or execute tournament operations.

2. Tournament Organizer

Fully responsible for local organization, promotion and operational execution — including logistics, registration, venues and on-site delivery.

3. Title Partner

Within agreed categories and territories, enjoys premium brand exposure and exclusive activation rights before, during and after the tournament.

4. Sponsor Partner

Subject to LALIGA brand guidelines and tournament regulations, enjoys non-exclusive brand presence, exposure and activation opportunities during the event.

Roles & Responsibilities

LALIGA

  • Grants official LALIGA brand and IP licensing for the tournament
  • Strategic cooperation with the organizer on sponsorship development and revenue sharing
  • Promotes the tournament via LALIGA official media and channels
  • Guides tournament positioning, structure and long-term vision
  • Coordinates LALIGA resources and partners to support tournament projects

Optional value-added services (additional fee): LALIGA Legends program · planning and coordination support for Spain training camps or academy activities

Tournament Organizer (FUTBAL CULTURES)

  • Exclusive right to organize and operate the tournament in the local market under annual license
  • Full responsibility for local operations: venues, registration, logistics and on-site execution
  • May adapt tournament arrangements to local needs while following LALIGA standards and guidelines
  • Plans and executes marketing and PR activities with LALIGA official channel support
  • Retains 100% of local registration revenue
  • Joint sponsorship activation and commercial development with LALIGA under its revenue-sharing model
